Thousand Pines Outdoor Education

Adventure Awaits

Promoting an understanding of the natural world through hands-on experiences

Thousand Pines Outdoor Science School is located in the mountain community of Crestline, in the San Bernardino Mountains. Thousand Pines offers your students an outdoor classroom — promoting an understanding of the natural world through hands-on experiences.

Students will explore and experience the outdoors on numerous hikes throughout the week practicing observation, collaboration, and drawing conclusions.

Students are also challenged by engaging in a variety of outdoor recreational activities including archery, rock climbing, wilderness survival, a night hike, and team-building exercises. These are designed to help students achieve personal growth through their sense of accomplishment and increased self-confidence.

Students are guided through their experience by trained outdoor education staff members where direct experience and observation provide unique learning opportunities.
