    means more than just learning outside: it means students and nature interact. Students will be able to see how nature works, observe flora and fauna, and even perform experiments. The five senses combine with critical thinking skills and team building activities to create a complete learning experience.

Thousand Pines Outdoor Science School is located in the mountain community of Crestline, in the San Bernardino Mountains. Thousand Pines offers your students an outdoor classroom where we promote an understanding of the natural world through hands-on experiences with nature. Students are guided through their experience by trained outdoor education staff members where direct experience and observation provide unique learning opportunities. Students journey through the Thousand Pines’ “wilderness” on numerous trail hikes throughout the week to investigate the local flora, fauna, geology, habitats, ecosystems, meteorology, weather and constellations.
